How to Create Your Fingerprint for Engraving

A digital engraving proof will be sent for your approval before production begins. Production will start once the proof has been approved.

Option 1: Pencil & Tape Method
1. Shade a small area on white paper using a soft pencil (2B or softer).
2. Rub your fingertip over the graphite until the fingerprint ridges are evenly coated.
3. Press a piece of clear tape firmly onto your fingerprint.
4. Place the tape onto a clean piece of white paper to transfer the print.

Option 2: Ink Pad Method
1. Lightly press your fingertip onto an ink pad or stamp pad.
2. Press your finger straight down onto a clean piece of white paper.
3. Allow the print to dry completely before taking a photo.

Tips for Best Results
✓ Fingerprint ridges and lines should be clear and visible.

✓ Avoid blurry, smudged, or incomplete prints.

✓ Use bright lighting when photographing the fingerprint.
✓ Black fingerprints on white paper provide the best engraving results.

✓ If your first attempt isn't clear, simply try again with lighter pressure.
